SEHA plans similar centers at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi and Tawam Hospital in Al Ain. The goal is to reach overall capacity of 204 dialysis units. The Mafraq Dialysis Center alone will increase the number of units by more than 70 percent, and all three centers combined will quadruple the previous total.

Built on a site of 7,407 m² with parking for 105 vehicles, Mafraq Dialysis Center will offer two VIP suites, two isolated units for infectious diseases, and four units for children.
