Under the wise leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi issued resolution no. (83) of 2007 concerning implementation of health insurance for nationals and those of similar status in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.National Health Insurance Company – Daman was assigned to manage this scheme, known as “thiqa”. “Daman” has contracted a wide network of participating providers for it’s “thiqa” scheme. The provider shall ensure your easy access to excellent medical treatment under the benefits of the “thiqa” scheme.“Once you join the “thiqa” plan you will get a “thiqa” Card. Your “thiqa” Card grants you benefits of services provided by Network Providers Manual attached with this Member Guide.You will need to present your “thiqa” Card at the point of service of each provider for both in and out patient services.You are also requested to comply with certain administrative procedures which have been agreed upon with all Network Providers attached with this Member Guide.
