Insurance Coverage Counseling


The Insurance & Revenue Department offers insurance coverage counseling. Patients are welcome to visit the Insurance Doctors in the Pre-authorization Unit to inquire about their eligibility on services, medications and procedures based on their insurance coverage.

The Insurance & Revenue Department Pre-authorization Unit is located in New Tower Building. The Insurance Doctors are available to assist patients on their inquiries from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM from Sunday to Thursday and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM during Friday and Saturday. A variety of other insurance companies will be accepted soon at Al Ain Hospital (Adnic) and if the insurance type is still not accepted at Al Ain hospital, the patient will be considered as a Self Pay customer and we will issue the invoices and a reimbursement form and the patient can make a claim to his/her insurance company to collect back the amount of money paid.

All Patients


Please bring a valid health card or Daman Health Insurance card and ID when visiting the hospital to demonstrate adequate cover for medical services.

If your request for coverage is declined by your insurance provider, you can apply to the ABM Programme for covering your treatment (depending on your case).

Please note: All expatriates living in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are required by law to obtain health insurance cover.

Daman Health Insurance


Out-patient medical services will be provided in accordance with your Daman health insurance policy.

For emergency cases, authorisation will be requested from Daman within 24 hours of admission.

All in-patient Surgical services are arranged from the pre-surgical clinic and they inform the patient of the approval and the operation date.

For medical services that you choose to have (elective cases), you will need to get authorisation from Daman before treatment. You will then be contacted by the Insurance Centre to inform you whether approval has been given and to advise on the next step.
