Biography

Dr. Hormaz Dara Dastoor is a highly experienced Consultant in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, with over 27 years of expertise in complex renal care, dialysis therapies, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) management. Currently serving at SEHA Kidney Care (since 2020), he plays a pivotal role in advancing Nephrology services and patient care standards in the UAE. Dr. Dastoor earned his MD in General Medicine (1993) from Albert St. George University. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency in New York (1994-1997) followed by a Fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension at the prestigious Cornell University in New York City ( 1997-1999) He previously served as Department Head at Mafraq Hospital (2007-2015) and at Al Rahba Hospital (2015-2020) , overseeing the development of specialized Nephrology programs including the Inpatient and Outpatient Dialysis Units and patient care protocols. His tenure as Senior Consultant at Tawam Hospital (2000-2005), Commonwealth Health Centre ,USA ( 2005-2007) and New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell in New York City (1997-1999) provided him with global expertise in Nephrology and Internal medicine.
